Did you know that a major factor in your Search Engine Ranking (SEO) is the speed at which your site loads? The quicker people are able to access your site, the more credibility Google (and other search providers) gives it. Therefore, a major goal of every site owner should be to get their site loading as quickly as possible for every visitor.
So, how do you know if your site is loading fast enough? Google will tell you! Just head over to Google Pagespeed Insights to check out your score. Once you put in your site URL, it will check to see the speed at which it loads on both desktop and mobile devices.
Are you below a 90/100 score? If so, the speed at which your page loads may be negatively affecting your website Search Engine ranking, as well as your user experience. Contact us for ways in which we can improve your site’s speed.
We implement a proprietary 34-point checklist when going through your site. This list has been developed in-house over the past decade of optimization and testing and offers a concise way of improving websites’ page speed in an easy to follow manner. Some of these items include:
Don’t worry if most of what is in that list means nothing to you–it’s our job to know it all and to make your page fast!
Note that while much of any potential speed increase can be done relatively easily (via plugins, caching, image compression services, CDN routing, etc.), if you want us to really get in there and figure out how to get the best scores possible, it will take a bit more time and effort. We have routinely achieved scores in the high 90’s for both mobile and desktop versions of websites though, so if that’s your goal we are the people to talk to.
